Associate Professor Kristen Jacklin - LU 

Associate Professer Kristen Jacklin is the Associate Professor, Medical Anthropology, Northern Ontario School of Medicine Faculty, School of Rural and Northern Health, Laurentian University Faculty, Centre for Rural and Northern Health Research, Laurentian University Adjunct, Department of Anthropology, Laurentian University 

Currently, Kristen is engaged in a collaborative long-term research project concerning quality of diabetes care in the Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve (WUIR) that began in 2005. 

Kristen is also working on a project that has signed Band Council Resolutions from seven First Nations and two Urban Aboriginal Health Centres supporting a research partnership investigating Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias. 

Kristen has been a member of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine’s (NOSM) Continuing Medical Education and Faculty Development Aboriginal Health Working Group since 2006. Kristen has also served as Chair of the Northern and Rural Health Course at NOSM (2006-2009).
